About Indian Air Force
Indian Air Force is one of the Indian Armed Forces to look over authority over air force. It established in 1932 and located in New Delhi. To control and effective commands IAF has seven commands. They are Western Air, Eastern Air, Central Air, South Western, Southern, Training and Maintenance Command. IAF takes qualified and enthusiastic applicants to start their career as an officer. There are Flying, Ground duties and Technical branches.
AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test conducted to recruit candidates in respective branches. This exam held twice for a year. Competitors who selected in this test hired as commissioned officers as Short Service Commission or both SSC and Permanent Commission. In Ground Duty Technical there are two branches Mechanical and Electronics. Ground Duty Non-Technical there are Administration, Logistics, Accounts and Education.
Indian Air Force AFCAT Eligibility
Competitors who want to submit AFCAT 1 Application Form 2018 must suit the eligibility criteria as specified in the notification. Aspirants have to possess the educational qualification of Engineering in specified branch or Graduation in any discipline or B.Com or MBA with minimum 60% marks from a govt recognised university or Institution. They have must meet Visual Standards as per the notice.
Applicants should have an age limit of 20 to 24yrs as on 1st Jan 2018 for flying branch. Competitors who are applying for ground duty branches must have an age of 20 to 26yrs as on 1.01.2018.
IAF AFCAT Exam Date
IAF Selection Process includes AFCAT or Engineering Knowledge Test, Intelligence Test, Psychological, Group Tests and Interview. There is Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test for flying branches. Application processing fee is not applicable to any candidates. Selected candidates will get pay allowances for flying branch is 82,050/-, for Ground Duty (Tech) is 71,550/- and for Ground Duty (Non-tech) is 68,550/-. AFCAT 2018 Apply Online procedure explained in detail in the notice. Competitors can submit their online applications from Dec. 2017. The syllabus and sample question papers are uploading in the authorised site. Authorities declare IAF AFCAT Exam Date which is on 25 February 2018.
