SSC Exams Notifications

Staff Selection Commission formed 41 years ago that means 4th November 1975. It is an organisation working under Government of India. The agency recruits the staff members for various posts in the different Ministries of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. The department head quarters were located in New Delhi.  Currently, it has seven Regional offices working thorough out the India. SSC Calendar 2018-19

The details of various examinations are as follows

Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE):  The examination is conducted every year to recruit in various non-technical posts of Group B and Group C in central government departments all over India.  The different posts like Inspector in Income Tax or Central Excise department or Department of Posts, Sub-Inspector in CBI, Divisional Accountant, Assistant, Auditor, Junior Accountant, and UDC are conducted in this CGLE exam.

For the above exams selection process involves three rounds in namely preliminary, Main and Interview. However, for posts of Auditors, UDC, Jr. Accountants, no interview is conducted and candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the written examination.

Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL): This is one of the popular examinations of SSC to hire basically LDC (Lower Divisional Clerks), data entry operators (DEO), Postal Assistant & sorting Assistant (PA/SA) in various government departments.

Stenographer (Grade C and Grade D): This examination is carried out by SSC for recruiting stenographers in various central government offices as well its subordinate offices.

Sub-Inspector in CPO (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB) Examination: Only written examination is conducted for these posts, followed by a physical standard test (PST), Physical Measurement tests (PMT), medical Examination and interview.

Constable (GD) Examination: SSC recruits constables through this open competitive exam in forces such as BSF, ITBP, Assam Rifles, CRPF, SSB, NIA etc.

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): This exam is to recruit subordinate staff in various central government departments as well as organisations.

Section Officer (Audit) & Section Officer (Commercial) Examination: This exam is also consisting of written examination followed by personal interview. The posts of Section Officers are mainly exists in Accountant General Offices located all over the country.

Junior Engineers Examination (JE): It consists of only one written examination followed by an interview for posts of Junior Engineers in CPWD.

Tax Assistant Examination: This examination is organised for selection of candidates for posts of Tax Assistant in Central Excise/Income Tax department. It comprises of a written paper followed by a skill test in computer typing.

Junior Hindi Translator Examination (JHT): One written test followed by an interview is the selection criteria for this post.
